ABOUT

Brand Identity Designer & Art Director, Autumn Mishler, is a visionary creative storyteller whose artistic mind and keen understanding of the hospitality industry has transformed many bars and restaurants into immersive experiences. With an unwavering commitment to blending aesthetics, functionality, and storytelling, Autumn has become a sought-after creative force, breathing life into spaces that captivate guests and leave lasting impressions.

 

Early in her work within the hospitality industry, Autumn recognized that successful bars and restaurants were not simply spaces for consumption, but rather platforms for storytelling and connection. She understood that a well-engineered menu design had the power to effortlessly ease a guest’s experience, a cheeky design detail could surprise and delight, and that those unconscious moments for guests were pivotal and impactful. 

 

Autumn firmly believes that design has the power to create lasting connections between people and the spaces they inhabit. By designing brand identities that resonate on an emotional level, she aims to cultivate a sense of community and belonging within bars and restaurants. Her approach to brand identity design seamlessly blends her deep appreciation for the culinary arts, graphic design, and consumer psychology. By collaborating closely with proprietors, she crafts unique visual narratives that reflect the essence of each establishment and resonate with the intended audience. 

 

In recent years, Autumn’s partnership with the hospitality industry has expanded her list of capabilities, reaching far past graphic design and into mural painting, interior design, wayfinding, merchandising, and more. Her work goes beyond aesthetics, leveraging her understanding of consumer behavior to create experiences that engage and enchant.

 

The opening of Alligator Pear marks the fourth and largest space Autumn has had the pleasure of designing and weaving the brand story for here in NYC. The visual identity has a cheeky yet rooted design that plays off both the organic, playful energy of New Orleans and the geometric, bold energy of New York City.
